Free introduction

You already know how to do this.

If you can hold a conversation, you can use AI. But somewhere along the way you've probably been sold a workshop, a manual, or a "prompt library" promising to make you AI-fluent by Friday. It didn't work, because fluency isn't a download. It's a mindset shift, and those happen through conversation, not slides.

Nobody's selling you the honest version.

Maybe you run a business, or you're well established in work you're good at, and suddenly everyone's talking about a technology you're told you should already understand. That feeling of being behind is real, and there's an entire industry set up to profit from it. Expensive workshops. Thick manuals. Consultants who talk fast and leave you with a login and no idea what to do with it.

Here's the thing: most of it is built to make AI feel more complicated than it is, because confusion is a good sales tool. You don't need another manual. You need the fear out of the way, because the technology itself is more usable than anyone selling it wants you to believe.

Paul Pilbeam, AI coach and mentor, founder of Between Better

You already speak AI's language.

I've spent more than twenty years in communications, and here's what that taught me about AI: it runs on the same thing I've worked with my whole career. Language. These tools are built from the way humans talk to each other, which means the skills that make you good with people, being clear about what you want, giving context, asking a better follow-up question, are exactly the skills that make you good with AI.

The people who understand code actually start at a disadvantage, because they approach it like a machine to be programmed rather than a conversation to be had. That's the first mindset shift, and it's usually the moment people relax: you're not learning something alien. You're applying something you already do every day.

No manuals, no jargon. Just a conversation, aimed at a mindset shift.

Two ways to start.

However you begin, the first step is the same: a free hour, online or in person, to talk about where you are with AI and what you want from it. No pitch and no pressure.

Getting started package · Founder rate
£179 four working sessions

Working sessions are exactly that: we sit down together with the tools open and I coach you through actually using AI, on your real work. Bring a specific project, or bring a general ambition to use AI across your business or role, and we'll build your approach session by session.

Four sessions is enough to go from "I don't know where to start" to using it on your own, with your own habits and your own judgement.

Prefer to take it a session at a time? Individual sessions are £45 at the founding client rate, same as all my coaching, while I complete my ICF accreditation hours.

Your first conversation is free either way. A full hour, online or in person, to see whether we're a fit.

What is AI coaching?

Coaching applied to adopting AI: honest conversation plus practical working sessions that shift how you think about the technology, so you can use it confidently in your own work. It's the opposite of a workshop that hands you slides and leaves.

Will you teach me specific AI tools or software?

This isn't technical training, and the mindset matters more than any one tool. But in working sessions we do use the tools together, live, on your real work, because that's how the mindset actually takes hold.

I'm not techy. Is this still for me?

Yes. If anything, that's exactly who this is for. This is about changing how you think about the technology, not your technical skill.

How is this different from an AI workshop or course?

A workshop hands you information and leaves. Coaching stays with you while you actually work through what's stopping you, at your pace, in your own words.

What happens in the four working sessions?

We work with the tools open, on your actual work rather than exercises. Typically we start with where the resistance sits and what you want AI to do for you, then build from small real tasks towards using it independently. By the end you have your own working habits, not a folder of notes.

How much does it cost?

The Getting Started package is four working sessions for £179 at my founder rate. Individual sessions are £45 at the founding client rate. Either way, your first conversation is a free one-hour introduction, online or in person.

Where are you based, and do you coach online?

Guildford and Central London in person, online worldwide over Google Meet.

Do you offer evening sessions?

Yes. Daytime and evening both work, online or in person, because running a business rarely leaves a free afternoon.

What happens in the free introduction?

An hour, online or in person. You talk about where you are with AI and what you want from it, and we see if it clicks. If it doesn't, no hard feelings. No pitch and no pressure.

Ready to stop feeling behind?

One free hour, no pitch and no pressure, to find out whether this is what you've been looking for.
